Tim Lincecum pitched eight innings for his first win in more than three weeks and Aaron Rowand homered and drove in three runs as the San Francisco Giants beat the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on Wednesday.

The family of late Braves announcer Skip Caray has announced plans for an open service on Monday, August 11 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ the King Cathedral.

It is the end of an era for the Atlanta Braves and their fans. Some of them paid respects by visiting the Braves Museum at Turner Field Monday.

Skip Caray, a voice of the Atlanta Braves for 33 years and part of a family line of baseball broadcasters that included Hall of Famer Harry Caray, died in his sleep at home on Sunday, the team said. || Blog: Goodbye Skip
