  • Where Did the Summer Break Go?  (posted Thu, 24 Jul 2008 17:04:41 GMT)

Wasn’t it a week ago I helped my 8 year old pack everything from her second grade desk, hug her teacher and leave school for summer break? What a great day. We had the entire summer ahead of us.

Now, in seemingly the blink of an eye, it’s time to ramp-up our collective back-to-school mindsets. Let’s do a group sigh, shall we?

Let’s also talk about it.  What are your thoughts as you prepare to send your children back-to-school?  Is it too early?  Are you worried about your child doing well in specific subjects?  What kind of a summer did you have?  How are you getting your children in the back-to-school mode?

Education is such a big part of our lives as parents. In this forum, I hope we can share our thoughts (good, bad, frustrating). My hope is we learn from each other.  Parenting is on-the-job training.
